- Deivamagal means God’s Daughter. It is a Tamil soap opera telecasting on the popular Tamil TV channel Sun TV. The first episode was aired on 25 March 2013. The show got huge popularity and has been remade into different south languages. Remakes include Jabilamma (Telugu), Bhagyalakshmi (Malayalam) and Chandra Chakori(Kannada) broadcasting on Gemini TV, Surya TV and Udaya TV respectively.

The actress is said to have secretly married one Manikandan from Panruti recently. He had come to Chennai with the aim of joining the film industry and then started working as a driver to serial actresses for survival.
While in the process, Manikandan had met Suchitra and gradually the two fell in love married secretly. For the unversed, this is the second wedding for him. However, for the past five months, the couple faced rough phases of their lives as Coronavirus pandemic posed a threat to their livelihood and they found it difficult to manage in Chennai.
Post which, reportedly Manikandan took Suchitra to his native and introduced her to his parents, who reluctantly accepted her into their family. It is said that it was then that Suchithra had planned to rob her in-laws after she observed jewels and money in their home and managed to convince Manikandan to aid her in executing the plan.
The duo was planning to use the money to make a short film and promote it on YouTube as a means to earn money and gain fame according to reports. Stating some personal work in Chennai, the actress left her in-laws house and a few days later Manikandan robbed the jewels and cash and was also on his way.
Noticing the missing cash and jewels, Manikandan’s parents quickly filed a police complaint and it is said that his father had a doubt on Manikandan. However, the cops jumped into action immediately and nabbed the son of the house and now, reportedly, Suchitra is absconding.

Story
The story basically rotates around Prakash, his significant other Sathyapriya and his oldest sister-in-law Gayathri’s tricks against their families to overcome their hereditary property Jai Hind Villa.
The show starts in a little town with Sathyapriya who is the oldest girl of Sundaram, a rich man in the town who has two sisters, Tharani and Anjali. Sathya has an adversary in a similar town, named Sathyakala who is desirous of her. Once Sathyakala botches Karthik to be enamored with her, when he in all actuality, adores Sathyapriya. When she learns reality, she attempts to end it all. Sathyakala’s dad gets irate about it. Karthik and Sathyapriya’s marriage is fixed.
